Screen design needed

Electronic shopping screen design will have to improve if it is to increase its appeal to home shoppers, says Verdict Research in its new report Retail Demand 1999.

The report predicts an electronic shopping boom in books, music, videos and cut flowers over the next five years, followed by fashion and foods.

However, ‘a lot of work needs to be done on upgrading colour and interactive screens and developing new techniques for browsing. People do not want to feel that they are using a computer’, says Verdict senior analyst Hilary Monk.
