Division head quits role at DIA

Design in Action’s head of brand identity Trevor Bradford has resigned from the group.

Bradford’s departure follows the redundancies of creative director Mark Chittenden and director of planning David Gray earlier this year. Bradford was also a director of the consultancy.

Bradford is rumoured to have stormed out after disagreements over the consultancy’s restructuring, which prompted the departure of Chittenden and Gray.

A consultancy spokesman denies Bradford left under a cloud. “He disagreed with the restructuring of the design studio which has been split into two creative parts, and this may have been a factor in his going, but there was certainly no storming out that I’m aware of,” says the spokesman.

DIA has no plans to replace Bradford. Lynn Hall, who was recruited in February to head the corporate communications group, has been promoted to client services director and will take over Bradford’s responsibilities.

Bradford’s future plans are unknown and he was unavailable for comment as Design Week went to press.
