Advanced Delivery System on show at the Science Museum

A medical dosing device designed by Therefore has been included in the Science Museum’s contemporary exhibition space, Antenna.

Developed for GW Pharmaceuticals, the Advanced Delivery System can operate as a spray or a pill dispenser and offers multiple levels of security through mechanical and electronic means. The tamper-proof device employs data logging to allow doctors to monitor patients’ drug regimes.

Initially tested with cannabis-based painkillers, it will be used later this year by the National Addiction Centre to deliver heroin substitutes in clinical trials. The ADS can be seen at the Wellcome Wing of the Science Museum in London for the next month.
