BA to continue flying the flag

The new Newell and Sorrell-designed identity for British Airways will retain some element of the Union Jack, it is believed.

The identity is expected to be unveiled later in the spring. Speculation has centred on the airline shortening its name to BA and dropping the flag device. But a BA spokeswoman says: ‘The flag is very important to us. You will have to wait and see how it is incorporated.’

The spokeswoman won’t comment on suggestions that the identity will feature a bird.
