Leave ROMs alone and drop double standards

You seem to be deliberately courting controversy in a recent issue (Taking a ROM turn, DW 14 March) – prematurely celebrating the death of the CD-ROM when we all know that many businesses in the UK don’t yet even own a computer with a CD drive (not just a dig at the PC)…

While we’re on the subject of PC – after printing a cover, two-page profile and an editorial applauding the ethical stance of Philippe Starck in the same issue, prominence is given elsewhere to a full-colour picture featuring the work of a leading UK group for a tobacco company… Keep it up!

We said Starck’s ethical agenda was his own. We can applaud the fact he takes a stance, without agreeing with every detail – Ed.
