Race makes the putt with brand

Manchester-based Race has created the name and identity for Golfit, a leisure brand from Sheffield International Venues, owner of four golf courses and five gyms in and around the city.

The aim of the work is to combine the golf and fitness offers, giving members the opportunity of unlimited use of both facilities.

The identity and strapline will be applied to signage, promotional material and poster ads within the next fortnight. A Mini Cooper car emblazoned with the logo is already driving round Sheffield, says Race designer David Sedgwick, who worked on the project.

Race won the work without a pitch, having previously created logotypes for SIV’s two other operating brands Fitness Unlimited and Playgolf. The Golfit design uses the blue and purple colours from those existing marques.
