The future of New Designers in Business hangs in the balance after its latest application for funding was turned down.
The body, which promotes and supports young designers, applied for 300 000 from the Arts Council to fund its proposed ‘hothouse’ Centre for Design Excellence.
Without funding the New Designers is in dire straits. Director Peta Levi is still working without pay.
