Stylo sets the look for Arranga events site

Digital and branding specialist Stylo Design has created a website for online event-focused social networking group Arranga, and designed its corporate identity.

The London consultancy held off competition from three other design groups to win the sub-£50 000 Arranga contract in January, following a creative pitch in October 2007.

Ben Lancaster, managing director of Stylo Design, says it was given the freedom to create and implement a complete strategy.

He says, ‘In some ways we did the brief for them. In essence we gave them the proposal and showed the need to create strong branding before working on the technical concept.

‘Phase one is about getting the look and feel, core functionality and technical elements right,’ he adds.

The site will allow users to arrange events, make and store information in one place, create Google maps, share documents, publish online media galleries and provide links to other sites. The service, which has a four-tier price plan, costs £5 to organise six events.

‘I believe people will pay for a more fully featured service. They’re paying for choice,’ says Tim Peacock, managing director of Arranga. The site, www.arranga.com, which is going through a soft launch until early next year, is currently being scrutinised by 50 testers, before phase two is launched in 2009.

Peacock says, ‘We’ll take feedback from this and create additional functionality.’

Lancaster says he expects to be involved in ‘further branding work, stationery and ads’ during phase two.
