4 Spanish furnishings and accessories manufacturer Punt Mobles has introduced the Dedal stool, designed by Ana Mir and Emili Padrós of Emiliana Design. Dedal means ‘thimble’ in Spanish.

6 Toyota has unveiled its ‘personal mobility’ concept vehicle, i-swing, at the Tokyo Motor Show 2005, which opened at the weekend. The company is promoting the concept as having a ‘wearable quality, like an item of clothing’.

7 Ilkley consultancy 10 has redesigned the packaging for fireworks brand Standard, to coincide with the 400th anniversary of Guy Fawkes’ attempt to blow up the House of Lords in 1605. The designs also incorporate new safety rulings, to become mandatory next year.
