Time to kick the football branding debate into touch?

Boys, boys, boys. There seems to be a bit of a row developing between fans of north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal over the Spurs brand review (DW 30 August).

Fonda creative director Ian Pape has taken serious exception to C21 head of consulting Adam Garfunkel’s suggestion that Spurs renames itself (Letters, DW 13 September).

It’s all so (mildly) amusing to see fans of once-famous Spurs and boring, boring Arsenal squabble over who’s more interesting from a brand point of view.

And all this from a pair of clubs that have both had George Graham as a manager.
