Honey Creative has rebranded Cox London furniture and lighting company, creating a new visual identity that aims to reflect its ’innovative design and craftsmanship’.
The consultancy was appointed without a pitch about 18 months ago, following a recommendation from another client.
Initially, Honey Creative and Cox London evaluated the business to create a new brand strategy, renaming it Cox London from Cox Workshops.
Matt Purkiss-Webb, creative director of Honey Creative, says, ’Cox Workshops suggests making things rather than being more design-led. It is very hands-on but needed to reposition itself as a new business.’
The project involved creating a new brand identity, monogram, marketing materials and website. The monogram logo references silversmiths’ makers’ marks, while the identity for collateral (pictured) contrasts a sketch of the product on one side with the final item on the reverse.
Purkiss-Webb says, ’They wanted to show the design integrity that goes into all the work they do. The identity gives people a sense of the beautiful, handcrafted products.’
Christopher Cox, director of Cox London, says, ’[Honey] helped us create a brand identity that confidently reflects the strong creative soul of our business, promoting the designed, drawn and crafted in London aspect of which we are so proud.’
The identity and website will launch at the end of the month.
