Commissioned art theme should be continued

In response to your Vox Pop column asking ‘What or who do you think the fourth empty plinth should honour and what form should it take?’ (DW 14 August), I thought the series of temporary works – Rachel Whiteread’s Monument especially (pictured) – were a very good way of using the plinth. Maybe that should continue.

But I’ve always fancied seeing a life-size statue of Lady Emma Hamilton looking up and winking at Lord Admiral Nelson.
