Kosmos: A Portrait of the Russian Space Age will be published in April

Kosmos: A Portrait of the Russian Space Age, a photographic record by Adam Bartos of the Soviet Space programme, will be published in April by Princeton Architectural Press. Kosmos, which was designed by PAP design director Deb Wood, provides a rare look behind the old Iron Curtain and the culture of Russian space exploration.

Images include a collection of telephones owned by Igor Barmin, chief designer at VP Barmin Design Bureau, which constructs launch complexes and the vacuum chambers of Russia’s spacesuit manufacturers.
