Smith & Milton has appointed Steven Anderson to the role of creative director, a post previously held by consultancy founder Howard Milton.
Milton has held the role of chairman since January and is now looking to build the team.
He bought the company back from venture capital company London Irish Group in 2006 (DW 2 November 2006), having complained that the consultancy had taken a downmarket shift.
Meanwhile, Anderson (pictured) has been working in a lead creative role on a freelance basis for the past 12 months.
He joined from the Banner Corporation, where as head of design he created branding and media strategies for Motorola, Sony and others. He says he hopes to help ‘reawaken a sleeping giant’.
Client services director Sarah Latham says Smith & Milton is looking to recruit two more staff ‘between senior designer and design director level’.
