Borderline tactics

Adrian Searle hit the nail on the proverbial head with his comments about Neil Walker (Letters, DW 15 January) and his attempted underhand jibe at designers north of the border.

It is especially sad that Walker believes London is the place that we Scots look to for inspiration – especially in regards to design.

Why are design consultancies south of the border filled with their own self-importance?

Perish the thought that a city outside London has what it takes to be nominated for the UK City of Architecture and Design – let alone host the event.
