BSA hooks Danish pirates

The Business Software Alliance is claiming a major victory against software pirating, after shutting down the biggest counterfeit software and Internet sales operation found in the European Union.

Closure of the Denmark-based operation follows a ten-year campaign by the BSA. The operation, which produced 125 000 counterfeit CD-ROMs containing 143m of BSA members’ software, was closed after calls to the BSA hotline and the help of the Danish National Computer Crime Unit.
