London consultancy Curious has created the bottle, graphics and logotype for Svensk Vodka, a new vodka brand from Swedish company Svensk Vodka i Motala. The group also worked with the client on branding strategy.
The drink is aimed at the youth market and eschews the heritage-style branding adopted by most vodka brands, says Curious development director Ylva Persson.
“[Svensk Vodka] is a very Swedish product and the branding emphasises its origins. It is a pure product, made from lake water, and plays on the elemental and enigmatic image of the country,” adds Persson.
The product will be launched in Sweden, Norway and Denmark in March and in the UK in April.
A Svensk spokeswoman says it will initially just be sold in bars.
Curious has completed design concepts, for snowboarding event organiser ProSlide, of a “village” manifesting the sport’s core values of rebellion, fun and dynamism. This comprises six air-igloos to be pitched at ProSlide-organised snowboarding events around the globe.
