‘Yes’ to war museum

The proposed 28.5m Imperial War Museum of the North, the future of which had been in doubt after a funding application to the Heritage Lottery Fund was unsuccessful, has been given the green light.

The Daniel Libeskind-designed building will be jointly funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the Imperial War Museum, English Partnerships, and local councils and businesses.
