Input Design has rebranded the Polish sports television channel TVP Sport.
The consultancy was appointed to the work last summer, according to Input Design senior producer Richard Markell.
Markell says the consultancy was awarded the work after he met senior TVP Sport executives at the Sportel sport media event in Monaco and showed them credentials and a showreel of Input’s work.
The consultancy was given a six-figure contract to complete a full rebrand that Markell describes as ‘about 95 per cent on-screen and 5 per cent off-screen’. The work involved creating a static identity, studio environments, and an on-screen package of idents, promotions and live match graphics.
The new identity, which launches this week, features idents based on a 3D spinning gyroscope made from a set of graphic sporting elements.
Live action from seven sports was rotoscoped and embedded into the centre of the gyroscope. The colours used match the channel’s orange and blue logo.
This is the first rebrand the channel has undergone since it was launched in 2006, according to Markell.
