Brown Inc to open SA office with Added Value

Branding design group Brown Inc is to open an office in South Africa, following the launch of a Sydney base earlier this year.

The consultancy is setting up shop through sister marketing group The Added Value Company. While South Africa is seen as full of opportunities by UK groups the market is still dominated by KSDP Pentagraph in Johannesburg.

Brown Inc has a similar arrangement in France, where it established Brown Inc Paris in Added Value’s offices last year (DW 21 March 1997).

The Sydney office offers marketing research design, says Brown Inc managing director Peter Hollingsworth. The ten-strong team is headed up by Anita Sadler, who was managing director of Added Value in London.

The Sydney office “is well-placed to service the southern part of South-East Asia”, says Hollingsworth, who is also looking at Shanghai as a potential opportunity.

“Everyone’s looking to China at the moment,” he adds.

Brown Inc was set up in 1992.
