Dalziel & Pow takes Law Society’s case

Retail design specialist Dalziel & Pow has redesigned the shop and reception area of the Law Society, located at its head office in London’s Chancery Lane.

The consultancy was briefed to make changes that are consistent with the society’s professional attitudes – it wishes to be seen as a modern and forward-looking organisation, and to reflect the increasing number of women working in what was once a male-dominated profession.

The reception area features softer shapes and materials, and also provides space for meetings, according to a D&P spokesman.

The reception space leads directly to the Law Society shop, which sells a range of books and gifts. It also includes Internet surfing booths intended for legal research. The interiors will be officially opened next week.
