Ergo is hoping to boost its ability to advise clients on adding value through brands, with the appointment of an investor relations specialist.
Anita Frew joins the brand development consultancy this week as a non-executive director. She was previously an executive director with ad agency Abbott Mead Vickers.
“A lot of large corporations think that by simply cost-cutting they will automatically change the stock market’s rating of and attitude towards their business,” says Frew. “This is clearly not the case and I look forward to helping companies improve their stock market rating by improving their brand.” She will initially target financial and e-commerce companies, as that is where the movement is at the moment, says Ergo partner Stuart McKay.
Following Frew’s appointment, Ergo is also recruiting a planner.
