Judges home in on Concept House winner

The 2000 Concept House Competition – to create a home for 2020 – has been won by architectural practice Katy Ghahremani and Michael Kohn, together with a multidisciplinary design team.

The winning design, called the HangerHouse, will be constructed for the Ideal Home Show 2000 at London’s Earls Court. The design team also wins a £15 000 prize.

The same shape as a traditional house, HangerHouse is descibed as a “total, holistic product”, which can be personalised when bought. KG+MK have been shortlisted in both previous Concept House competitions.
