London design group Dragon has redesigned the packaging for the archetypal brown sauce brand, HP. The consultancy has refined the colour palette used on labels and introduced a clearer picture of the Houses of Parliament, which originally gave the sauce its distinctive initials. Dragon used its strategic process, Dream, to analyse the core values of the product. ‘The new design gives the HP brand a pride in its roots,’ says Dragon creative director Greg Vallance.

The London Skills Forecasting Unit, a part of the London Training and Enterprise Council which aims to ensure that the capital avoids skills shortages in the future, has launched a new report about the construction industry. Designed by Wagstaffs Design, the report calls for investment in technology and training to enable the industry to keep pace with developments. The concept was influenced by the launch venue, the Tate Gallery, which hosted National Construction Week last week.
