The Rugby Football League has introduced its new identity, created by LEA Events. It was launched last week at the announcement of The Lincoln Financial Group’s 1m sponsorship of the League.

From next month South African company Anglo American will be listed on the UK Stock Exchange, following a merger with UK group Minorco. The renamed Anglo American plc will be one of the largest mining and natural resource companies in the world, and plans to introduce a new corporate identity created by London design consultancy The Partners. The identity will move away from the geometric symbols commonly used in the sector. Rough hewn geological imagery is used instead.

Regional enterprise group Lothian and Edinburgh Enterprise has appointed local design group EH6 to design and produce its corporate literature for the next two years.

Scotland’s Association of Directors of Social Work has a new corporate identity, designed by the public relations department at Dundee City Council.

The Post Office will next month launch sets of commemorative stamps to mark the establishment of the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Assembly. Scottish group Tayburn created the Scottish editions, while London group Tutssels developed the Welsh versions. The designs are the result of a long consultation project. ‘The views of the people of Scotland and Wales were vital in the selection of the vibrant and modern designs of these new stamps. The images are a reflection of how the people of Scotland and Wales see themselves,’ says Post Office chief executive John Roberts.
