Thumb ups oil interest

Nimir is an oil and gas company with interests in three continents – Asia, Africa and South America. It was seeking a new identity to help improve its profile with the varied collection of clients, governments and trade partners it deals with.

London design group Thumb has developed the identity, due to launch imminently, using the tagline ‘international excellence’ as the cornerstone of its work. The consultancy has created a logo, stationery, templates, corporate literature, a newsletter, exhibition stand and implementation guidelines.

Because of the variety of its work Nimir uses a tailored brochure, rather than trying to communicate unnecessary information to readers. The most popular brochure sections issued, International Excellence – which looks at emotive issues such as environmental impact – and International Operations, which looks at technical matters and explains what Nimir actually does, are included together in a case.

The publications use black and white stock photography from around the world to illustrate Nimir’s scope. Each section also includes an image, a map and a profile of regional projects.
