Improvements for London Eye
Ken Livingstone is unequivocally backing a raft of improvements to the British Airways London Eye, including higher profile signage, an enlarged ticket hall and a possible museum.
Following the London Borough of Lambeth’s decision to award permanent planning permission to the South Bank attraction, the London Mayor has given a crucial endorsement to the proposals.
Consultancies will be invited to pitch for all aspects of the work once final approval is received from Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, according to a London Eye spokeswoman. Approval is expected within two months.
