Vamaji opens with Anderson Norton brand

Indian fast-food venture Vamaji, which aims to spice up the image of takeaway British curry, launches next month, with an identity designed by Anderson Norton.

The identity will be applied across delivery scooters and helmets, uniforms, menus, packaging and stationery. It is also integral to the interior of the Chelsea-based takeaway outlet, which has been designed by Charles Leon Associates.

The consultancy is also creating tiffin-style packaging, with each dish individually vacuum-sealed inside special trays, and the outlet’s on-line ordering service.

Anderson Norton was appointed in June and has produced the identity for a modest £10 000. But the consultancy has secured a royalty deal on future Vamaji openings.
