1996 account awards given

Warwick consultancy Design Principles and London firm CGI share honours in the 1996 Annual Awards for Published Accounts.

Annual reports from every listed company are entered for the awards, which are sponsored by the London Stock Exchange and the Institutes of Chartered Accountants in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

CGI’s report for Reuters won the prize in the large company category and received praise from judges for its “stunning appearance, bold headlines, interesting illustrations and exciting design”.

The small company award went to engineering company Triplex Lloyd’s annual report, designed by Design Principles. It was described as taking an “honest and informative approach”.
