Kinneir Dufort heads awards

Kinneir Dufort has won the best of show prize in the 1996 Design Week Awards for its Handi- Haler inhaler. The device, created for German pharmaceuticals company Boehringer Ingleheim, also won the product design prize.

The HandiHaler is one of 14 projects to win awards in the 15 main categories. There were joint winners in the exhibitions category – Casson Mann and Met Studio – for work at London’s Science Museum and Hong Kong’s Telecom World respectively. No awards were given, however, for screen graphics or furniture design.

The 1996 awards were judged by a panel of 18 judges, chaired by Jon Turner, head of global design at The Body Shop.
