Diana logo finally unveiled

Spencer Landor was behind the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund logo, created for law firm Mishcon De Reya.

The design was completed more than four months ago, but its release was delayed for legal reasons concerning the signature.

Further delays came as the client waited for adverse publicity, regarding its 500 000 fee for running the fund, to blow over. The Diana Estate has licensed the signature to the fund.

“The signature is almost identical to Diana’s signature. We were trying to capture something of the person and give a lively feel. It had to be simple because it has to be applied to a wide range of merchandise,” says Spencer Landor design director John Spencer.
