Giving designers the chance to air their predictions for 1998 (DW 16 January) is already proving its worth.
Designer Callum Lumsden’s prediction that pelmets would return to fashion was borne out on the very day of publication, when one of the home decoration TV shows currently in vogue echoed his views. It even instructed viewers how to make pelmets of their own.
Lumsden is apparently ecstatic. He has been predicting the return of pelmets since 1990.
