Senior shuffle at 20/20 and The Nest

A series of senior level departures has hit two design consultancies this week, as two partners exit 20/20 and The Nest co-founder and group creative director Russell Pinch leaves to become an independent consultant.

20/20 creative partner Bill Cummings and fellow partner Simon Stacey follow Rune Gustafson from the group (DW 25 September 2003), with Cummings set to replace Pinch as group creative director at The Nest. Stacey’s plans have not yet been confirmed.

20/20 has promoted its director of brands Jim Thompson to managing director design and strategy and, according to a spokesman, both Stacey and Cummings will be replaced.

‘Discussions are at an advanced stage’ in finding a suitable candidates for each role, he adds.

Cummings joins The Nest in early February. A spokeswoman for The Nest confirms Pinch’s departure but says he will remain a shareholder of the company.

Meanwhile, the Nest has promoted Tamsin Loxley to graphics director and both James Skinner and Mark Haygarth have been appointed art directors.
