Paris Panda boosts web presence for Dance to the Radio label

Leeds-based consultancy Paris Panda has created a new website for independent record label Dance To The Radio, home to chart-topping band the Pigeon Detectives.

Paris Panda, a digital and music specialist which designed the identity of the label and works on its cover art (pictured), won the business in October on the strength of this existing relationship, says creative director Liz Worsley.

Briefed to address usability and save time and resources, Paris Panda created a data-sharing solution that allows bands to upload data. ‘They can react to events and make announcements like tour changes or band news,’ says Worsley.

Applications will include an e-commerce area for ticket-buying, new releases and back catalogues. Site editors can also update news on releases and upload videos, graphics and advertisements.

The work marks the completion of phase one, which is expected to go live by the end of this week. ‘People can sign up for newsletters now. The next stage will be user-generated content,’ adds Worsley.

She says that the new site is now ‘cohesive’ with the Dance To The Radio identity.

Paris Panda is also working on the cover art for four 12-inch vinyl EPs and a compilation for the label.
