Aqualisa taps into a buyer’s market

Aqualisa unveiled its latest state-of-the-art bathroom range designed by Seymour Powell last week, as it launched a rebrand created by Carter Wong Tomlin.

The company, which specialises in digital shower technology, is moving away from its trade background in line with a changed marketplace, in which customers are much more involved in purchasing choices for bathroom equipment.

Its Seymour Powell-designed product range, the Axis Collection, marks a significant change in direction for the company, according to Seymour Powell director Dick Powell.

‘When it first launched Quartz, its digitally-controlled shower, we were tentative about introducing electronics into the bathroom, and so it was designed to look like a mechanical valve. But the second generation allows for a more liberated design,’ he says.

The range now includes remote control and flashing LEDs for temperature and height adjustment.

Carter Wong Tomlin was appointed to rebrand the company following a four-way pitch at the end of last year.

Marketing director at Carter Wong Tomlin Lucy Mann says, ‘Previously, plumbers decided bathroom products, but now customers, particularly women, make the choice themselves.’
