Go-karting, go fundraising

Feel that high! Wind roaring in your ears, hair swept back, wheel pulsing in your hands as you whizz round those tight corners. You’re almost a Formula One driver and you’re raising money for a cause of your choice.

It could only be karting, and Addison Design Company commercial director Miles Hutchins is hooked. The consultancy was involved in raising 35 000 for the National Macmillan Appeal, and Hutchins is now suggesting a special Design Company Karting Challenge.

It costs 200 to rent a car between five drivers and the outdoor event is planned for late summer. Perhaps the proceeds could go towards the Centrepoint project for the homeless for which Design Bridge held a recent brainstorming session.

Call Hutchins on 0171-403 1243 if you fancy “an incredibly exhilarating way to raise lots of money for a good cause”.
