The Ikepod Watch Company, a Switzerland-based joint venture between designer Marc Newson and entrepreneur Oliver Ike, is launching its first collection named Seaslug. Created by Newson, who designed the interiors for the restaurant Coast (DW 9 June), the Seaslug is a diving watch which took 18 months of ‘ceaseless changes’ to prototype, according to Ikepod. It will be distributed through The Watch Gallery in London on 0171-636 5200.
