Design profits for WPP Group

WPP group’s design consultancies have contributed to a 10 per cent rise in revenues for the brand and identity, healthcare and specialist communications department of the group during the first five months of 2000.

The world’s biggest marketing communications group produced increased revenues of 18 per cent.

Revenues in the US rose 19 per cent, the UK was up 11 per cent, Continental Europe rose a fifth and Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East grew by 24 per cent.

At the company’s AGM on Monday several design groups were praised for “contributing strongly” this year, including Enterprise IG, Coley Porter Bell, Banner McBride, Brindfors and BPRI.
