The annual showcase of graduating design talent brings together design prot̩g̩s (such as Johannes Schiebe, whose Vorsprung chair is pictured left) from over 100 UK design colleges. New Designers РPart One, from 6-9 July, will be showing a wide range of furniture, product, industrial, glass and metalwork designs.

Blink, Think, Wink, until 22 July, is a photographic celebration to inspire and explore the issues facing humanity today. It is a part of The Institute of Ideas, which is a month-long series of thought-provoking discussions and exhibitions running until 16 July.

The Norman Foster Studio – Exploring the City is a retrospective exhibition of the work of Foster and Partners. The exhibition, curated by Deyan Sudjic, examines the issues that shape the contemporary city. It contains more than 80 detailed models and prototypes from the Foster archive.

An exhibition of photographs chosen by Nicola Bailey shows until 18 August at Amnesia. Bailey is the designer of the Architectural Association journal AA Files.
