Ptarmigan gets in a lather over its name

London consultancy Ptarmigan Design Solutions is having trouble with its branding, seemingly based on the UK’s poor educational standards.

‘People are finding it increasingly hard to spell, and even pronounce, the company name,’ says creative director Jonathon Cottam. ‘And we were wasting a lot of potential fee-earning time explaining that a ptarmigan is not a herb.’

The company intends to wash away its problems by changing its name next month to Soap Solutions.
