JKR loses MD in abrupt departure

Jones Knowles Ritchie managing director Nir Wegrzyn has left the consultancy suddenly after almost ten years with the group.

Wegrzyn left the business two weeks ago with no job to go to. The reasons behind his departure are not clear. JKR chief executive officer Andy Knowles confirms that Wegrzyn ‘left with immediate effect’, but declines to comment on the circumstances.

The managing director role will be adopted jointly by Knowles and JKR creative director Ian Ritchie. ‘[Wegrzyn] has been managing director for the past two years and made a significant contribution to the day-to-day running of the business, with a focus on working internally and with clients, but we won’t fill the role in the short term,’ says Knowles.

Wegrzyn was not contactable as Design Week went to press.
