Review halts museum plans
All future projects at London’s Science Museum have been put on hold as its director, Dr Lindsay Sharp, completes a “major strategic review”, the results of which are expected in the summer.
Science Museum insiders say the task involves a complete review of the museum and its structure. “The review is looking at where the museum is going and what we are doing,” says an inside source.
A spokeswoman says the review will focus on how the museum works as a whole and under the National Museum of Science and Industry umbrella. It is designed to give it a new vision following the opening of the Wellcome Wing in July.
