Red Design has completed sleeve art for Ninja Tunes’ signing Bonobo. The work features location shots from around the world and aims to evoke the sense of a journey, says Red Design founder Ed Templeton. Photography includes work by Dominic Howard. Bonobo’s album, Dial M for monkey, is due to be released on 9 June.
This year’s competition invited designers in training to revamp the cover of three well-known books across adult fiction, adult non-fiction and children’s literature.
The new branding centres upon a dynamic R logo, which intends to evoke the “gestural quality of a dancer in motion”.
