The best anecdote… in this column

Sean Blair, the design and communications director of the Design Council, was obviously enjoying his role as emcee for the Design in Business Week 98 launch.

Blair ladled on as much hyperbole as he could muster, even suggesting as he introduced speaker David Bernstein that the audience applaud loudly enough to propel the copywriter and TV producer into space.

Bernstein accepted the introduction graciously. ‘Of all the introductions I’ve had, that was certainly the most… recent,’ he said.
