Tutssels@The Brand Union has appointed Design Bridge assistant creative director Andy A’Court to the new position of creative group head, as part of a move to strengthen the group’s strategic offering.
A’Court takes up the position on 16 November and will head up one of the group’s two design teams. He will report to Tutssels creative head Glenn Tutssel.
A’Court replaces former senior designer Garrick Hamm, who was due to be promoted to the new role. But Hamm left the group after ten years to become Williams Murray Banks creative director (DW 11 September).
“Andy [A’Court] is a creative, but his experience in fmcg, which tends to be more strategic, will strengthen our strategic capability. In addition, he has done a lot of work in pharmaceuticals and drinks, which are two of our specialist areas,” says Tutssels account director Beverley Jones.
Jones adds that the consultancy is looking for two more designers with a strong fmcg background, to further boost its strategic offering.
Meanwhile, Design Bridge has promoted senior designer Antonia Hayward to the position of assistant creative director. She takes up the position on Monday.
