The design concept for the Early Learning Centre as featured in Design Week (DW 16 October) must surely go a long way to improving the misfortunes of the retailer, or will it?
Is this yet another company looking for design as a very expensive solution to problems that are not design related?
It is difficult to see with such a radical change to the concept how the new and the old can be run side by side when the product and the retailing philosophy needs to be so different.
It will be interesting to see how the Early Learning Centre manages the transformation from the presentation which appears to be a brilliant design.
