Din treatment for the Sanctuary Shop

Din Associates has been appointed to redesign the Sanctuary Shop in London’s Covent Garden.

The shop, the ‘front door’ to The Sanctuary Spa, will undergo a design overhaul next January to bring it in line with the branding of the spa itself.

The Sanctuary is also exploring the possibility of opening a second spa in the north of England.

‘We had a big refurbishment of the spa in 2002-3,’ explains chief executive of The Sanctuary Alice Avis. ‘At the time we didn’t redesign the shop as it was still relatively small.’

Since 2003 the product side of the business has expanded and the spa sector itself has become a much more competitive sector as its popularity has grown.

According to Jo O’Driscoll, managing director at Din Associates, ‘Consumers are more sophisticated. The Sanctuary is the original day spa and is synonymous with a luxurious experience’.

‘The shop was lagging behind,’ she continues, ‘and hadn’t been touched for years.’

The redesign of the store will highlight the importance of the Sanctuary’s product range and will create a better entrance to the spa.
