Bell Pottinger has launched a new design team, which it says it “to meet the growing market demand for expert, quality design including corporate brochures, posters, look books, annual reports and all forms of marketing collateral”.

Fortnum & Mason has appointed The Yard Creative to help them learn more about their customer base and to discover how recent initiatives had changed customer perception of the brand.

Biles Inc has been appointed by baby food brand Ella’s Kitchen as packaging strategy and design consultancy.

Consultancy Bostock & Pollitt has rebrand as Pollitt & Partners.

Following the acquisition of Ever After by Zone Design in 2012 the two consultancies have merged to form MBC.

People

JDO Brand & Design has appointed Guy Williams in the role of 3D design director. Williams previously worked at Blue Marlin, where he was creative director, 3D design.

The Design Museum has appointed former Icon editor Justin McGuirk as its chief curator. The museum says: “[McGuirk] will play a significant role in the yet to be announced opening programme for the Design Museum’s new home in Kensington, due to open in late 2016.”

Former Ford chief creative officer J Mays is joining the Royal College of Art to its Vehicle Design programme as a visiting professor.

Sun Branding Solutions has appointed former Holmes & Marchant managing director Simon Gore as managing director, creative, and ex-Morrison’s strategy, planning and communications director Sonia Whiteley-Guest, who will lead UK and international client servicing.
