Second restaurant to open in Oxo Tower

Restaurant group Simpsons of Cornhill, operator of the Café dell’Ugo and Drones chains, has appointed Apicella Associates to develop a format for its newly agreed 1000m2 site on the second floor of the Oxo Tower on London’s South Bank.

Restaurant group Simpsons of Cornhill, operator of the Café dell’Ugo and Drones chains, has appointed Apicella Associates to develop a format for its newly agreed 1000m2 site on the second floor of the Oxo Tower on London’s South Bank.

The Oxo Tower lettings policy says tenants must provide operations unique to the site. Simpsons will therefore open under a new guise in the summer. Simpsons says that the restaurant/café bar will be “a bunching together of flowers” from its various other formats, but declines to reveal the new project’s name.

Apicella Associates was recommended to Simpsons by the developer of the Oxo Tower, the Coin Street Group, after completing initial designs for the interior shell of the second floor area.
