Former Dyson designer Andy Briggs has invented what he hopes will be a nifty successor to Scrabble and Boggle.

Called Blank, his creation has already wowed the boffins at the Cambridge board games ‘Olympics’; now he’s begun distributing it via specialist games shops. We can’t explain the rules here, but basically you make the biggest words you can from the letters and the blanks you are given.
